The Charity is governed by a Board of Trustees as follows:

Steve trained as a Mechanical Engineer from school and was employed by a racing car team for a number of years. Steve then took up a post as Development Manager for Provident Financial tasked with managing and developing the business as well as being responsible for all staff training.

After 12 years in Financial Services, Steve’s passion for driving led him to create Stratfords Executive Cars Ltd where he has been Managing Director for 22 years. Stratfords specialises in looking after high-end clients, particularly from the Music Industry – Steve specifically looked after the late Jim Marshall (Marshalls Amplification) for some 12 years travelling all over the world with him as his executive driver. Stratfords has also had the pleasure in delivering services to other artists such as Slash, Motörhead (Lemmy), Gary Moore, Iron Maiden, Joe Bonamassa & Jim Hughes from Deep Purple.

Throughout his career, Steve has had a passion for charity and supporting those in need and harnessing the goodwill and passion from a lifetime of entertainment & music industry contact. In 2019, he and co-founder Jason Tudor, whom he met through a shared love of motorcycling, had the idea to create Ride2Give which launched as a registered charity in 2020.

Henry Jason (“Jay”) is a well known local businessman and entrepreneur, specialising in taking failing or broken businesses in the hospitality sector and turning them into thriving enterprises. His businesses include a number of pub chains, hotels and restaurants all of which have the common thread of Jay’s customer focused, fun and easy style to hospitality.

Jay has a wealth of experience in sales & marketing and acts as a consultant and business mentor to a number of small, medium & large companies assisting them in setting their strategic goals and deliver on their corporate missions.

Jay met Steve through a shared love of motorcycles and quickly their passion for charity and helping others aligned. Jay co-founded Ride2Give in 2019 with Steve, launching the charity in 2020. Jay’s skill in event management and his infectious personality has helped create a great volunteer base for the charity.

Stephen William Martin
Stephen William Martin

Steve commenced his career in telecommunication engineering, Steve moved into the service management discipline within the corporate sector of the industry. During his time in the role, he was accountable for contracted service levels being delivered, ensuring continued custom advocacy, and was accountable for margin targets being met.

After 29 years in the telecoms sector, Steve moved into IT management, and took on various roles including responsibility for 24/7 enterprise management, business process re-engineering and delivery of process automation projects. Steve currently specialises in the hospitality sector, assisting businesses review and embed new processes, providing business analytics and cost management services in order to aid quality decision-making and maximise profits.

Steve also has a passion for motorcycling, and was approached by the cofounders of Ride2Give, Steve Wood and Jason tutor to join the Board as a Trustee at its inception in 2020.

Jean-Marc Hodgkin
Jean-Marc HodgkinBSc, M.Ed, FCA, ACIS, FSI, BFP, D.ChA

Jean-Marc has around 18 years of experience of governing large educational charities. A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Secretary by profession, Jean-Marc worked for KPMG, the Law Society and the London Stock Exchange as Head of the Regulatory News Service and Head of Business Consultancy.

Jean-Marc had a career change in around 2004 and has been Bursar of two large Independent School as well as Trustee, Treasurer and Vice Chairman to a number of other schools and universities. He is currently Strategic Governance Lead to an Educational Trust in Northamptonshire.

Jean-Marc’s expertise in Corporate Governance and Charity Leadership, as well as a shared love of American motorcycles made him a natural choice to assist the Ride2Give Foundation Trustees to incorporate as a CIO in 2020. Jean-Marc joined the Board in 2022.
